When these two Dublin projects, were being built, Wykamol were busy designing and drawing specialist drawings behind the scenes for the waterproofing at the Bottleworks and the new Facebook Europe headquarters at Fibonacci Square.
Both schemes required dual waterproofing schemes and Wykamol were involved in the design of the Type C cavity drain membranes and crystalline slurry systems.
Both these schemes took a year in the planning and Wykamol were involved with the engineers on both sites over a lengthy period. Advising on the drainage and removal of any potential groundwater as well as attending in-depth design meetings on-site and via Zoom.
The contractor on both sites was Drytech Ireland, and collaborating with the team we can fully understand the problems associated in the Bottleworks case involving multi-level waterproofing, and draining water from floor to floor.
Working to BS8102 gives two forms of protection and a maintainable scheme with the cavity drain membranes.
Wykamol have had a long history working in the Irish Republic and visit regularly to discuss projects, meeting with various engineers and architects, as well as providing CPD Training Schemes.
Wykamol have supplied over 10,000m. sq. of waterproofing on these schemes and we are proud to be working on such incredible projects as these.
From small domestic basements to huge six storey underground projects, Wykamol are there from design through to completion.
If you have a project, why not contact the team at Wykamol.
Also, a special thank you to John Sisk & Son Ltd for the help the team have given Wykamol over the last couple of years on-site.
