When a very large podium deck in the Wirral connected to a large apartment complex started leaking into the garages below action was needed.
Basement Waterproofing Solutions were called in to look at this problem and asked the Wykamol Group to recommend a strategy to alleviate these problems.
Kevin Topping, Wykamol Technical Manager from the Northwest attended site and recommended a repair using our Hydradek PU Paint System coupled with our expansion bandage, Proflex.
The tenants agreed the price and repair solution. Work started to remove the old deck and then to replace with a new poured concrete screed.
After this had dried the Proflex Bandage System was used at the wall/floor junctions to give strength and flexibility at this crucial junction.
Once cured Wykamol Hydradek was installed with a 2-coat system, then a topcoat to protect against the UV issues from the sun.
The whole project took just 2 weeks to complete and as can be seen in the images a fantastic job was done by Basement Waterproofing. Working together on projects like these enable us to see issues first-hand and allows us to identify the potential issues before the project starts.

The product carries BBA accreditation, so the long-term validity of the product is secured. And because the product also has a reinforced matting between coats a long-term warranty has been issued.
