Wykamol and Basement Waterproofing solutions combine to waterproof an Attenuation Tank

When a builder completed this Attenuation Tank to clean sheet metal in, the structure very quickly stated to seep water into the tank.

The original design called for only one form of waterproofing a Type A system to keep water out of the structure, sadly this was not robust enough to cope with the job that was needed.

Basement Waterproofing solutions were called in to help with a repair and waterproof this tank.

Working alongside Wykamol a dual scheme was recommended which included first a Wykamol universal mortar to be used as a Fairing Coat and being a waterproof coating would form part 1 of the repair.

The universal mortar was also used to create a fillet at the vulnerable wall floor junction.

Second stage was two coats of our BBA approved Hydradry crystalline waterproofing coating.

As can be seen in the images the team at Basement Waterproofing have done a great repair to this structure and brought back a waterproof tank which can now be used again.

If you have a structure like this or any below ground project, why not contact the team at Wykamol to give some advice and a design scheme to waterproof your project.

The main contractor was so pleased they are going to use the Wykamol team on the next project they get.

Overall, another great case study highlighting our excellent works across the UK.
