Waterproofing of Norman house a 2-storey basement on the Strand London

The 1920s building currently being refurbished at 105-109 Strand is to be renamed Savoy Strand to reflect its history and heritage as part of the Duchy’s historic Savoy Estate.

The building formally known as Norman House is being totally transformed to provide a new landmark connecting the Strand, one of London’s busiest commercial streets.

Wykamol registered installer Advance Property Preservation were appointed to carry out the Below Ground waterproofing on this historic building conversion.

Using Our Crystalline cement based waterproofing slurry Hydradry, and then our BBA approved cavity drain membranes to give this basement a dual BS8102 design, the team at Wykamol were there on site to check progress as well as supplying various specialist drawings and a CSSW design for the scheme for the Architects and Engineers on site.

The flexibility of our engineers to design these schemes means we can use our Pi approved designs to waterproof most spaces below ground.

And with regular site visits we were able to sign this job off for an insurance backed warranty.

Managing Director Simon Wooton of Advance Property Preservations thanked the team at Wykamol for all the help in bringing in this amazing transformation of the basement spaces to this building.

If you have a project to carry out below ground why not contact the team at Wykamol on 0845 400 6666 to help with designs and a site meeting to discuss the waterproofing phases.
