When this homeowner wanted somewhere to house his luxury car collection, he chose Wykamol to help with the waterproofing scheme.
This basement project needed a dual waterproofing scheme as stated in BS8102. Working to the specification, Wykamol assisted by producing with designs and 3D drawings for the contractor to implement.
Waterproof concrete was chosen alongside Wykamol Sure Proof. A BBA approved, self-adhesive Type A membrane system for the walls and podium deck.
Alongside this, a protection drainage board Wykamol Geotex was also used to protect the membrane. This drained membrane also acts to move water away from the waterproofing membrane by allowing water to filter through the geo-textile membrane to other areas where this can be removed or drained from the structure.
Attending the site, Wykamol manager Kevin Topping worked alongside the Wykamol registered installer Basement Waterproofing Solutions to install the waterproofing products.
Checking on the progress, Kevin always documents the progress with images so these can be issued to the warranty provider as evidence of the products being installed correctly.
Wykamol work on many underground projects and always design these schemes as individual projects rather than generic schemes.
As can be seen in the photographs the installation was conducted to a fantastic level by the team at Basement Waterproofing Solutions, and were proud to be associated with them on projects like these.
