Wykamol identified a huge gap in the market for Type C Cavity Drain Membranes manufactured in this country to the highest possible standards of quality, performance and value for money.
For over 80 years, the Wykamol Group has been the market leader in the field of property renovation and repair, so we knew a lot about what was needed. After careful research and planning, in 2018 we invested £2.5 million in a brand new, state-of-the-art extrusion plant.

The extruder uses the latest in technology to mould 100% virgin HDPE into waterproofing and damp-proofing cavity drain membranes, which are now used across the UK in hundreds of renovation and new build projects.
Wykamol also invested an a regrind machine, meaning the majority of off cuts produced during the manufacturing process are reground and reused on site, rather than being transported to an external recycling facility which further contributes to the production of harmful CO2 emissions.
This significant and substantial resource aligns perfectly with our wide-ranging facilities, which include a £800,000 powder plant and state-of-the-art laboratory.
